Premiere of Manilatown Suite

International Hotel Center, 868 Kearny Street, San Francisco, CA

Please join us as we premiere our latest concert of Filipino-American Jazz, "Manilatown Suite". Funded in part by both the San Francisco Arts Commission and the California Arts Council this concert tells the story of Historic Manilatown, the International Hotel Eviction and today's Manilatown community through music, movement and words.

Gongster's Paradise

Club Mandalay

International Hotel Manilatown Center, 868 Kearny Street, San Francisco

Autonomous will be featuring Kul-Jazz and Standard Jazz sets at the I-Hotel Centetr's Club Mandalay.

Starting at 7pm we will discuss and sample our San Francisco Arts Commission and California Arts Council project, "Manilatown Suite".  At 8pm we will begin a set of Jazz favorites. 

Holding it down as usual with vocalist Caroline Cabading will be Raymond Bambao on Bass, Chris Planas on guitar, Harold Ohashi on Drums and guest musicians Jibril Alvarez on piano, and Frank Holder, Daniel Giray, Manny Dragon and Patrick Tamayo on percussion.

Club Mandalay

Come on out and Chill Out at our Club Mandalay PopUp live music club and I-Hotel Bakes Cafe on Friday, January 11th!

This month we will be featuring Kul-Jazz and Standard Jazz sets starting at 7pm with the I-Hotel's house band "The Autonomous Region". As the fall weather sets in, what could be cozier than a fireside chat with Joyce Bergvelt about her new book, "Lord of Formosa"? This captivating novel, inspired by historical events, dramatizes the confrontations between the Dutch colony of Taiwan and 17th century Chinese warlord, Zhen Chenggong (Koxinga).

After our chat with the author, we will settle back and enjoy the seductive sounds of The Autonomous Region to get you ready for the weekend!

Justice & Diversity Center Annual Gala

Autonomous is happy to be the reception music providers at the Annual Gala of the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco.

This is the Event of the Season for the Bay Area legal community where they celebrate their combined investment in justice and diversity.

Book Launch: "The New Filipino Kitchen"

Autonomous will be providing reception jazz music to the book launch of "The New Filipino Kitchen". Please come on by to learn about a great new book, enjoy refreshments and of course chill to some classic jazz standards. Free and open to the general public.

Chinatown Moon Festival

Washington Street & Grant Avenue, San Francisco, CA

Please join Autonomous at the Chinatown Moon Festival on Saturday, September 15th! We will be performing a classic jazz set at 1:30pm on the Washington Street & Grant Avenue stage.

This is a free family-friendly street fair. Hope to see you there!

And maybe just maybe culinary artist Nico Dacumas will be bringing back I-Hotel Bakes' amazing ube cupcakes? Well, you won't know for sure unless you show up! Come by before the music starts to socialize over treats. The cafe opens as early as 6pm.
